SAN FRANCISCO PARADE FOR WORLD PEACE
Promoting peace in our community, our country and around the world

WHAT: The San Francisco Parade for World Peace

WHEN: Saturday, October 27th, 2007

WHERE: 1:00 PM, UN Plaza (Market and 7th Streets) for a United Nations Day Celebration.

2:00 PM: The parade begins and travels to the US Federal Building (450 Golden Gate Ave) for a Peace Rally.

3:00PM: The parade continues to Civic Center Plaza (in front of San Francisco City Hall) for a Celebration for Community Peace. The finale of the event will be the creation of a Human Peace Sign at 4:30 PM.

WHO: The parade is produced by Unity Foundation

The UN Day Celebration is Sponsored by the United Nations Association of San Francisco and the United Nations Association/Northern California Division.

The Peace Rally is Sponsored by the Raise Hell for Molly Ivins Campaign (www.raisehellformollyivins.org)

The Celebration for Community Peace is Sponsored by the Haight Ashbury Community.

Speakers: Kim Weichel, president, United Nations Association of San Francisco, Astrid Stromberg, president, United Nations Association/Northern California Division, Dr. Mervyn Silverman, past president and current member of the board of trustees, AMFAR - American Foundation for AIDS Research.

Performers: Judea Eden (former lead singer of Soul Divine) The SGI-USA Chorus, Jethro Jeremiah Band, Phantom City Band and members of the band United Soul.
