The "Positive Spin" Television Show 2007 Unity Foundation Celebrates 100th "Positive Spin" Television Program and Receives Top Communications Award from the United Nations Association of the USA In February of 2007, Unity Foundation's celebrated the airing of the organization's 100th "Positive Spin" television program. The show featured highlights from the 2006 season and a Tribute to Dirk Dirksen, "Positive Spin's" Executive Producer, who had recently passed away. "Positive Spin" is the breakthrough television show that presents positive, innovative and solution oriented news from around the world. The show airs nationally on FreeSpeechTV on the DISH Satellite Network (Channel 9415) approximately ten times each month. The show also airs on cable stations in the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, New York City and Chicago. In March 2007, Unity Foundation was the Co-Recipient, with the United Nations Association of San Francisco, of the prestigious National Earl Eames Communications Award from the United Nations Association of the USA. Unity Foundation received this honor in recognition of the foundation's campaign to promote the important work of the United Nations and its humanitarian agencies; and encourage people in the United States and around the world to join the United Nations Associations. Working in partnership with the United Nations Association of San Francisco, Unity Foundation created a multifaceted campaign utilizing the "Positive Spin" television show, a PSA Media Campaign, Internet distribution and an educational television documentary on the UN60th Anniversary Celebrations to provide national and international exposure to the vitally important work of the UN. July 2007, Bill McCarthy, the Producer and Host of "Positive Spin", is presently approaching other media entities with a positive focus to foster cooperation and content sharing. |
