Intolerance featured popular performers as spokespeople in PSAs
on television, radio, billboards
and the internet.

Painter, historian, writer and
philosopher who pioneered
the use of familiar icons and symbols in his art to facilitate
international understanding. |
The Youth Art Connection

An ongoing program (sponsored by
the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Metro Atlanta Affiliate)
that empowers young artists and connects them to each other and
to world leaders, thus strengthening global communication and
cooperation through the Universal Language of Art. |
Bob Johnston and
the Late Carl Perkins
"The Fireman" -- the newly released
single by Songwriter and Record Producer Bob Johnson with vocals
by Carl Perkins, is an impassioned instrumental and spoken-word
tribute honoring firefighters for their bravery and heroism.
All proceeds from sale of the single will be donated to the families
of fallen firefighters. |
Best-selling author Joseph Kanon
was the Master of Ceremonies
for this event, which included:
A Tribute to GEORGE HARRISON
with "Here Comes the Sun" performed
by musician RICHIE HAVENS
A SALUTE to UN
Secretary-General Kofi Annan
and the Staff of the United Nations,
in honor of their being awarded
the Centennial Nobel Peace Prize
A Tribute to the People
of NEW YORK CITY
Acclaimed actor and advocate,
Danny Glover, Global Co-Chairman of the One Song, Many Voices
Campaign introduced a "Global Lenses" diversity presentation
by its Chairman, Mark Williams, who is also CEO of The Diversity
Channel. The New York City youth choir, "CityKids"
concluded the evening with a stirring rendition of Mr. Williams'
international anthem "One Song, Many Voices."

important event not only commemorated the International Day ForTolerance
and Human Rights Day, it marked the passing of three months since
the terrorist attacks in New York City, serving to further underscore
the importance and relevance of promoting tolerance. |
